NARCISSUS

In my digital print, I explore the myth of Narcissus, the exceptionally handsome youth of Greek mythology. Engulfed in an intense self-love, his tragic demise unfolds as he transforms into the iconic narcissus flower. I crafted a visual interpretation, employing geometric shapes that form a shroud over the eyes of the protagonist, symbolising the onset of his floral metamorphosis. His self-blinding ego is vividly portrayed, and as he reflects in remorse, tears cascade down his face, transmuting into glistening streaks of gold. Yet, despite his repentance, the irreversible clock of fate continues its relentless march.
